Mission Statement

The Dixon Public Library provides access to collections, technologies and programs that enrich, educate and empower every individual and meet the changing needs of our diverse community.

Dixon Adult Literacy Program Orientation

The Dixon Adult Literacy Program (DALP) will be holding two orientation meetings for those interested in the program or in becoming tutors. DALP tutors help improve literacy in our community by teaching English language speaking, reading and writing skills to any Dixon resident over 18 years old. The new tutor orientations are scheduled for Wednesday, February 27 from 6pm-8pm and Saturday, March 2 from 10am-12pm. Orientations will be held in the Annex at 200 N. 1st Street.

Thanks to the California State Library, Dixon Library patrons are now able to access The New York Times Online for FREE! This includes the latest content and news as well as access to articles from 1851 to present day. For more information please visit our FAQ page. 

Dixon Movie Discussion Group

Dixon Library Movie Club

Join us as we discuss a classic film each month. You simply watch the film on your own before we meet. All the movies that we discuss are available from our regular Dixon/SPLASH Library Catalog. This group will meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month, from 6:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. Our first four movies are
