Star Party at the Library

Flyer for Star Party

Buzz Aldrin said “Shoot for the moon; you might get there.” In honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the Library will be hosting a Star Party on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 7pm-9:30pm, in the lot next to the Library on B Street. Bring your family to view the moon, the sun and other astronomical phenomena with the Davis Astronomy Club. The Library will be providing arts and crafts for this evening of family fun. Light refreshments will also be provided.

This program is free and open to the public.

UPDATED! Dixon Adult Literacy Program Announces Fall 2019 Training Schedule

Learning to read, write and speak well is literally a gift that can’t be lost, taken or misplaced. Once you teach someone to read, they will know how to read forever.

Have you thought about becoming a literacy tutor as a way to give back to the Dixon community? Will you be retiring soon and have more free time? Attend one of DALP's September orientations and see if becoming an adult literacy tutor would  be the right fit for you!  For more information please visit the Dixon Adult Literacy Program .
